Give Yourself Permission to Pause
Hey friend! I need you to hear me on this one...rest is not a luxury; it’s a necessity. In January, we prioritized ourselves. In February, we embraced self-love. Now in March, we’re leaning into something most of us struggle with: REST.
Be honest with yourself. When was the last time you gave yourself permission to just be? Not running from one task to the next, not carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, but truly resting in the presence of God? If Jesus Himself took time to rest (Mark 6:31), what makes you think you can run on empty?
This month, I want you to start seeing rest as a sacred act of self-care. It’s not laziness, it’s obedience. When we rest, we trust God to handle what we cannot. So, whether it’s setting aside 15 minutes of quiet time, indulging in a warm, candlelit bath, or simply going to bed on time, I challenge you to embrace rest as an act of faith.
And listen, if you need a little help winding down, let Lamb and Honey be your invitation to rest. Light a candle, smooth on some body oil, and breathe. God’s got you, sis. No more glorifying exhaustion. No more proving your worth through overwork. No more running on fumes while pouring into everyone else. You can’t give your best to your family, your business, or your purpose if you’re running on empty. Rest isn’t weakness, it’s wisdom. When you slow down, you make space for God to move in ways you never imagined. So this month, let’s shift the narrative. Let’s make rest a non-negotiable part of our self-care, knowing that in our stillness, He is working (Psalm 46:10).
